Provisional draft — pending final review by counsel

This document is a working draft prepared by Animedix. It has not been reviewed or approved by outside legal counsel. It is provided as a transparent placeholder while our formal legal framework is finalised and is not a substitute for legal advice.

This Cookie Policy explains how Animedix by SIVRA Inc. ("Animedix") uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies help sites remember you and your preferences. "Similar technologies" include local storage and session storage, which serve the same purpose without being classified as cookies.

Your choices

We ask for your permission before setting anything that is not strictly necessary. Nothing in the Functional, Analytics, or Video embeds categories is enabled until you opt in, and you can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request and apply it automatically without asking you first.

What we use

The platform sets strictly necessary cookies and local storage by default. Everything else is opt-in. We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers, and we do not sell or share personal information.

CategoryDefaultWhat it does
Strictly necessaryAlways onSigns you in, protects against cross-site request forgery, and stores your consent choice. Cannot be disabled.
FunctionalOff until you allow itRemembers dismissed notices, library filters, and sort preferences.
AnalyticsOff — none in useReserved. We run no analytics product today; if we add one we will update this Policy first.
Video embedsOff until you allow itAllows YouTube and Vimeo players to load directly, which lets those providers set their own cookies.

Embedded video

Some pages embed video hosted by YouTube or Vimeo. Those providers can set their own cookies and receive your IP address as soon as a player loads, so we do not load one until you press play. If you have not allowed the Video embeds category, we load the player from YouTube's no-cookie domain (youtube-nocookie.com) or pass Vimeo's do-not-track flag. Video still plays either way — declining reduces tracking, not functionality.

What we do not use

  • Third-party advertising cookies
  • Cross-site trackers or advertising pixels
  • Third-party analytics products (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, PostHog, etc.)
  • Social-media tracking widgets

The one third-party technology present is the embedded video players described above, which load only with your permission or in privacy mode. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this Policy and obtain consent before they run.

Managing cookies

The Cookie Preferences link in the footer opens the controls for every non-essential category, including withdrawing a permission you previously gave. Withdrawing consent also clears the stored values for that category.

Most browsers additionally let you refuse or delete cookies via their own settings. Because strictly necessary cookies are what keep you signed in, blocking those may prevent you from logging in or using the platform normally.
