Effective Date: 20 July 2026 · Version 2026-07-20

Provisional draft — pending final review by counsel

This document is a working draft prepared by Animedix. It has not been reviewed or approved by outside legal counsel. It is provided as a transparent placeholder while our formal legal framework is finalised and is not a substitute for legal advice.

Animedix by SIVRA Inc. ("Animedix," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

By using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to the Animedix platform, including our website, applications, and APIs. It does not apply to third-party services or websites that link to or from the platform.

The platform is intended for users located in the United States. It is not directed at users in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with materially different privacy regimes. If you access the platform from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.

2. Not a HIPAA Covered Entity — No PHI

Animedix is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate. The platform is not designed to receive protected health information ("PHI"). Do not upload, submit, or transmit through the platform any medical records, laboratory results, imaging studies, physician notes, or other information that identifies you or another individual and relates to health status, care, or payment.

If PHI is submitted through the platform, we will treat it as user content subject to our Terms of Use and this Policy, but we do not assume HIPAA obligations with respect to it. We reserve the right to delete any content we reasonably believe contains PHI.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a cryptographic hash — never in plain text), self-identified audience (doctor / scientist / student / investor / general), and, at signup, the date and version of the Platform Disclosures you acknowledged.
  • Expert Author profile (if applicable): display name, title, institution, biography, profile photo, specializations, social links.
  • Content you submit: articles you author, images you upload, links you insert.
  • Support and correspondence: messages you send us via the platform's contact channels.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and similar diagnostic information.
  • Engagement events: pages you view, videos you watch (including watched segments used by the Points system), and interactions with platform features. These events are used to compute your Points balance, personalize content recommendations, and monitor platform health.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6.

3.3 Information we do not collect

  • We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
  • We do not use tracking pixels, third-party advertising cookies, or cross-site trackers as of the Effective Date.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • create, maintain, and secure your account;
  • deliver, personalize, and improve the platform;
  • compute and display your Points, learning progress, and content recommendations;
  • respond to your requests and support inquiries;
  • send administrative and service-related communications (for example, password resets, security alerts, changes to legal documents);
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, security, and technical issues;
  • comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and users.

5. AI and Model Training

We do not use your personal data to train third-party AI models.

Some content on the platform is generated or summarized using artificial intelligence. Where we use AI, we may send de-identified content (for example, article text you have published, aggregated engagement statistics) to model providers for the sole purpose of producing outputs for you or for platform features you use. We do not send your account credentials, email address, or any content you have not made public.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and local storage strictly for essential platform functions:

  • Authentication cookies: to keep you logged in and to prevent cross-site request forgery.
  • Preference storage: your last-selected filters, dismissed banners, and similar UI state, stored in your browser's local storage.
  • Diagnostic: temporary session identifiers used to debug errors.

Anything beyond strictly necessary storage is opt-in: preference storage and embedded video players run only if you allow them, and you can change or withdraw that permission at any time via Cookie Preferences in the footer. We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking as of the Effective Date, and we do not sell or share personal information. Embedded YouTube and Vimeo players are the only third-party technology on the platform; they load only after you press play, and in privacy mode unless you have allowed that category. If any of this changes, we will update this Policy and obtain consent first. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

7. How We Share Information

We share personal information only in the limited circumstances below.

  • Service providers. We use third-party providers to host, secure, and operate the platform (for example, cloud hosting, database, email delivery for transactional messages, error tracking). These providers process information only on our behalf and under contract.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Animedix, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If Animedix is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality obligations and, where required, notice to affected users.
  • With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

  • Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted or anonymized within thirty (30) days of a confirmed deletion request, except where we are required by law to retain it.
  • Engagement events: retained in identifiable form while your account is active; may be retained in de-identified aggregate form indefinitely for platform improvement.
  • Content you have published (for example, articles): may be retained after account deletion if it has been embedded in the platform for educational or historical purposes. On request, we will consider removing or anonymizing author attribution.
  • Log data: retained for a rolling 90-day window for diagnostic and security purposes.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You may:

  • Access, correct, or update your account information at any time by editing your profile within the platform.
  • Delete your account. Contact us as described in Section 13. We will honor deletion requests within a reasonable time, typically thirty (30) days, and confirm completion by email.
  • Export your data. On request, we will provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you in a portable format.
  • Object to specific processing. Contact us if you have concerns about a specific use of your data.
  • California residents: you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

10. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and periodic security review. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

11. Children's Privacy

The platform is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date and Version above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by email or an in-platform notice).
